Sher Afzal Marwat, former member of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), caused a stir in the National Assembly with his cheerful but pointed comment: “Mujhe Kyun Nikala?” (Why was I eliminated?), After his expulsion from the party.
His question, which echoed his frustration for his removal, caused the laugh of government legislators and a combination of reactions throughout the assembly.
Marwat, known for his frequent appearances through the opposition door, entered through the entry of treasure members, which led the members of the Government.
This caused a comment from the speaker of the National Assembly, which he warned jokingly: “Do not go into trouble.”
During the questions and answers of the session, the speaker asked Marwat to comment on the fusion of mobile companies.
Instead of addressing the problem, Marwat returned the conversation to his expulsion, asking: “Why was I eliminated?” His question met the laugh on the government side, while PTI legislators decided to remain silent.
Marwat’s words found songs from government members, including slogans as “why was Marwat eliminated?” And “oppressors, answer! Give Marwat justice!
While seeing the parliamentary leader of PTI, lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, Marwat appealed to the members of the Government to obtain support.
During the session, Hanif Abbasi of PML-N reassured Marwat with a cheerful gesture, saying: “We are with you and we will help you send you back to PTI.”
Marwat’s expulsion from PTI occurred after repeated violations of the discipline of the party. However, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, has urged Imran Khan to reconsider Marwat’s expulsion and restore him in the fold of the party.
Sher Afzal Marwat had publicly approached his expulsion from the PTI, which was executed under the orders of the founding president of PTI Imran Khan.
In a long publication on social networks, Marwat expressed a deep disappointment for his expulsion, emphasizing his unwavering loyalty to PTI and Imran Khan leadership.
He mentioned that the decision seemed to be influenced by individuals who never accepted him within the party, but assured his supporters that he had never been involved in personal disputes or internal factionalism.
Instead, I was always standing next to Imran Khan’s vision, prioritizing the unity of the party over personal conflicts.
Marwat recognized the difficulties that Imran Khan faces, including limited access to information and the presence of certain people whose actions were harmful to the interests of the party.
In a firm position, Marwat declared that while he would accept PTI’s decision with dignity if the party did not reconsider, he would never supply mercy. He firmly urged PTI leaders and workers to speak against injustice and remain united, particularly when they face difficult times.
The founder and former Prime Minister of PTI, Imran Khan, ordered the party leaders to expel the members of the National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat of the party.
The decision follows internal dissatisfaction with Marwat’s actions during Swabi’s meeting, which caused multiple complaints to Imran Khan of the party members.
Last month, PTI had issued a notice of show cause to Sher Afzal Marwat for violating the discipline of the party.
In a notice, PTI’s leadership rebuked the party leader Sher Afzal Marwat, known for his burning oratory, for making statements contrary to the official position of the party.
