JCP will review the appointments of additional judges of LHC


Islamabad:

The president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (CJP), Yahya Afridi, has called a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on February 28 to deliberate on the appointment of four additional judges to the Superior Court of Lahore (LHC).

The session will take place at 2 PM in the conference room under the presidency of the CJP.

The commission will evaluate the credentials of eight district judges and sessions, of which four will be selected for the LHC.

The candidates under consideration include the Judge of District and Sessions Raja Ghaffar Ali Khan, District Judge and Qaiser Nazir Butt and District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Akmal Khan.

In addition, the commission will deliberate on the names of the district and the session judge, Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, district judge and sessions, Jazela Aslam and the district and sessions judge, Tariq Mehmood Bajwa.

There will also be more discussions regarding the district and sessions judge, Shahida Saeed and the district judge and sessions, Abher Gul Khan.
