An altercarmed altercation between the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Shoaib Shaheen, and former federal minister, Fawad Chaudhry, exploded at the door 5 of Adiala Jail No. 5, which resulted in slap and verbal abuse Saturday.
Both leaders first exchanged hard words, with Chaudhry accusing Shaheen of being an “agency tout”, to which Shaheen replied, “takes care of their own business,” said Express News.
The confrontation then intensified with Fawad Chaudhry hitting Shoaib Shaheen, causing PTI leader to fall to the ground.
The prison staff intervened to break the fight. Subsequently, Fawad Chaudhry entered the prison facilities, while Shoaib Shaheen suffered an injury to his arm from the fall.
PTI’s lawyer, Nadia Khattak, who witnessed the incident, condemned Chaudhry’s actions, stating that physical violence was unacceptable despite the differences. She expressed relief that Shaheen did not suffer serious injuries.
On Friday, Sher Afzal Marwat, former member of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), caused a stir in the National Assembly with his cheerful but pointed comment: “Mujhe Kyun Nikala?” (Why was I eliminated?), After his expulsion from the party.
His question, which echoed his frustration for his removal, caused the laugh of government legislators and a combination of reactions throughout the assembly.
Marwat, known for his frequent appearances through the opposition door, entered through the entry of treasure members, which led the members of the Government.
This caused a comment from the speaker of the National Assembly, which he warned jokingly: “Do not go into trouble.”
During the questions and answers of the session, the speaker asked Marwat to comment on the fusion of mobile companies.
Instead of addressing the problem, Marwat returned the conversation to his expulsion, asking: “Why was I eliminated?” His question met the laugh on the government side, while PTI legislators decided to remain silent.
Marwat’s words found songs from government members, including slogans as “why was Marwat eliminated?” And “oppressors, answer! Give Marwat justice!
While seeing the parliamentary leader of PTI, lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, Marwat appealed to the members of the Government to obtain support.
