A strong earthquake hit the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, sending fear shock waves among residents who left their homes and offices reciting sentences.
According to the seismological center, the earthquake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale with a depth of 17 kilometers. The epicenter was located 8 kilometers southwest of Rawalpindi.
The tremors were particularly intense in high -rise buildings, which led the occupants to evacuate themselves in panic. From now on, they have not reported casualties or damage to property. However, the authorities are closely monitoring the situation and evaluating any potential impact.
