The Transport of Transport of Sindh has launched an offensive throughout the province against commercial vehicles not suitable in an attempt to reduce traffic accidents and improve security, local media sources reported Thursday.
Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said many commercial vehicles, registered in other provinces, permanently operated in Sindh using physical conditioning certificates issued in other places.
He questioned the authenticity of these certificates, since the vehicles were not inspected at the time of the issuance.
Memon emphasized that mechanically not suitable vehicles contribute to the increase in traffic accidents, putting both drivers and pedestrians at risk.
According to the new policy, all commercial vehicles in SINDH must obtain certificates of physical conditioning of the Motorized Vehicle Inspection Centers (MVI) of the province.
These certificates will have QR codes and modern security measures.
Commercial vehicles from other provinces operating in SENDH must also obtain local physical conditioning certificates to obtain route permits or renovations.
In addition, a valid driver’s license will be mandatory for all commercial drivers.
The Government has also announced the establishment of new MVI centers to regulate licenses and inspections of heavy vehicles.
The initiative is aligned with broader efforts to stop traffic accidents and improve public safety.
Last week, during an important meeting, held with Sindh’s prime minister, Murad Ali Shah, in La Silla, decided to take immediate measures regarding the aptitude and registration of all vehicles. This was announced by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon during a press conference.
He said: “It is mandatory that all heavy and small vehicles, including motorcycles, have a valid physical conditioning certificate. Vehicles without physical conditioning certificate will not be allowed on roads. Our first priority in this regard is the Heavy vehicles, he said.
The Water Board has implemented a bar code system for all registered water oil tankers operating from authorized hydrants. These barcodes are issued to vehicles that meet the aptitude standards. He said that a 30 -day grace period has been given for all vehicles to obtain the physical aptitude certificate.
It will also be required that vehicles entering SNDH from other provinces obtain a physical conditioning certificate from Sindh authorities.
Certificates issued by Punjab, Baluchistan or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will not be considered valid in Sindh. Sharjeel declared that the owners of the exhibition hall have already banned the delivery of unregistered vehicles. Any vehicle purchased in an exhibition room must be registered before leaving the facilities.
The main minister declared that the Sindh government is committed to guaranteeing road safety and proper vehicle regulation.
If someone buys ten cars from a company for investment purposes, it will be mandatory to transport vehicles using a car transport or car transporter.
