The third base of the New York Mets, Brett Bitch, renounced his No. 22 to Juan Soto, and his new teammate generously rewarded him for it.
Soto, just signing the greatest contract in the history of professional sports, bought a car from Bathy as a sample of gratitude for renouncing No. 22 on Thursday.
“I really appreciate the number. This is the first one to use. He wanted to give you something pleasant,” Soto said.

“Well, this is definitely really pleasant,” Blay replied.
Soto gave him a SUV and left an arc on the hood for his gift for Bathy. The gardener put the number 22 in colors of the Mets during the exchange.
“Brother, this is crazy,” Blay said after entering the driver’s seat for the first time.
Soto signed a 15 -year record contract and $ 765 million with the METS this low season. If Soto opts after the fifth year of their contract, METS can cancel it causing the total value of the contract to be $ 805 million.

Soto has used the number 22 of his entire career with the nationals of Washington, the parents of San Diego and the New York Yankees.
Soto is a great addition to a METS team that made a surprise race to the NLCS last season before falling against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Mets retained the first Base Pete Alonso in free agency, giving Soto important protection in alignment.
Unfortunately for Bitch, Alonso, being signed, could damage his chances of making the inaugural day list.
If Alonso left, the third base Mark winds could have taken charge in the first base, leaving Bathy the third base for Bathy.

With Alonso’s return, winds is in a third base after a strong second half and a playoff race, since 27 homers were launched in 111 regular season games last season.
Bathy played in 50 games last season and fought, hitting .229 with four homers.
Regardless of whether Baty makes the inaugural day list, at least he will leave the spring training with a new car.
