San Antonio Spurs The star Victor Wembanyama will miss the rest of the season after being diagnosed with deep venous thrombosis on his right shoulder, the team announced Thursday.
The news came in the midst of the impulse of the Spurs for a place in the playoffs in the West Conference.

Wembanyama, the current rookie of the year, was diagnosed after his return on the weekend of the stars in San Francisco, said the team. The rest of the regular season is expected to be lost.

Deep vein thrombosis (TVP) is a condition when blood clots are formed in one or more of the deep veins of the body, according to the Mayo Clinic. The condition usually affects the legs and can cause swelling and pain.
According to ESPN, The team said that it is an isolated problem for the young star.
