A weird Sambar deer has been rescued by wildlife authorities after crossing Pakistan from India.
The deer was found in the border area of Jandiala and was put in custody after a rescue operation, said Express News.
Local residents alerted the authorities after detecting the deer, which was later transferred to the Wildlife Park in Jallo to obtain attention and rehabilitation. According to wildlife officials, the deer is healthy and young, and will be closely monitored as part of their recovery process.
The authorities speculated that Sambar’s deer, who are typically found in India, may have wandered by the border due to disorientation or natural migration.
Officials of the Department of Wildlife expressed their relief that the deer was unharmed and is now under professional attention in the sanctuary.
