The new Netflix program Zero day I had hooked at the time I saw Robert De Niro starring a television series. In it, the Hollywood A-Lister plays a former aged American president that the interim administration requests that it help to reach the bottom of a massive cyber attack that dismantles the technological devices of all, causing large interruptions and deaths.
For those who are not familiar with the computer term, the ‘zero day’ refers to safety vulnerabilities that computer pirates can use to infiltrate software and has proven to be a growing thematic area in the disaster genre, with titles past as Mr. Robot and Zero Dark Thirty Seeing the great critical acclamation.
I have only seen the first episode so far, but I do not doubt that De Niro continues to have us on the edge of our seats at all times. The long -awaited adaptation of Robert Eggers of Nosferatu Finally, our houses are disturbing in Peacock (in the United States), and I was especially delighted to know that it will include the extended cut. There with some of the best horror movies, I was surprised by the way Eggers takes such an iconic and influential film, and gives him his unique turn, creating something that feels fresh but pays so much tribute to the original German expressionist film. For too long, vampires have become a joke in modern media (looking at you, Twilight), and it is good to see them again to their horrible living roots in a film that has terrified the modern public worldwide.
