- Spotify is being associated with Elevenlabs
- Elevenlabs offers human audio that can narrate audiobooks perfection
- Can we expect more content generated by the spotify in the future?
Spotify audiobooks narrated by AI will increase as the transmission company enters a new association with Elevenlabs, a company responsible for one of the best voice generators.
Expansion means that audiobooks in Spotify can now be narrated in 29 languages thanks to the excellent natural speech technology of Elevenlabs. The AI software will provide the authors with tools to control the voice and intonation of the narrator to create the no more human audio sounds possible.
Ai -arred audiobooks are nothing new for Spotify, the company has collaborated with Google Play Books to use software similar to Notebooklm for authors who want to create audiobooks without hiring a narrator or doing so. This association will increase the choice for the authors and expand the amount of AI narrated content on the platform for consumers.
In the Association announcement statement, Spotify said: “For authors looking for a profitable way to create high quality audiobooks, Elevenlabs’s digital voice narration is a great option.”
The statement continues to confirm that listeners will be able to differentiate between human voices and those generated by AI thanks to metadata information that will be visible in Spotify and all other retailers who use the platform. The description will also indicate: “This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice.”
Elevenlabs Audio on Spotify has begun to be implemented, so monitor its descriptions of audiobooks to verify whether your narrator is human or not.
Is this good for the listener?
When CEO Daniel Ek said Spotify “would double” music in 2025, there was concern about what that could mean exactly. With an expected launch of Spotify Hifi and the imminent impact of AI on all technological companies, 2025 will be a great year for the transmission service, and this association with Elevenlabs is the first sample of what to expect.
The audio generated by AI is becoming very impressive, so much so that I have probably heard an audiobook or a podcast expressed by artificial intelligence and has not even noticed. Obviously, there are great benefits for AI’s narration, which allows authors to bring their books to a broader audience without the need for additional resources, but we, as listeners, really want to start listening to voice software?
Could Ai narration be the first step towards that ‘double below’ in music, with a final objective of the audio generated by AI in its spotify playlist to help expand the supply of music on the platform? After all, many of us can already listen to LO-FI rhythms generated by AI and another background noise without even realizing.
Ai Audio is still in his childhood, but it is evolving rapidly, and Spotify’s impulse to increase its audiobros offer by associating with an important voice generation company of AI could be the beginning.
