Trophy – PCB champions asks the ICC

The PCB has communicated with the CPI for clarification after the Indian national anthem was erroneously played for a moment at the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore.

Before the game between Australia and England, the national anthem of the United Kingdom was played without incident. However, instead of following him with the opening songs of the National Anthem of Australia, a recording of the Indian National Anthem began to sound before he stopped quickly and changed.

Espncricinfo understands that the PCB is not happy with the error, so it has blamed ICC. A PCB official told Espncricinfo that, as this is a CPI tournament, the hymn reproduction list was produced and distributed by the CPI, with the ICC in charge of touching the hymns before the games. The PCB also questioned the presence of the Indian anthem on the playlist in the first place, since India is not playing any of its games in Pakistan.

This is the second time in so many days that the PCB has had to ask the ICC an explanation that follows the incidents they have undergone Pakistan as official hosts of the Champions Trophy. During the second game of the tournament in Dubai, when India played Bangladesh, Pakistan’s name was omitted from the official transmission logo.

This was a deviation from the transmission graphics for the other tournament matches so far, including the tournament starter between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi, where the name of the event and ‘Pakistan’ was visible in the transmission.

The ICC put it to a technical problem, although it was an explanation that did not satisfy the PCB. The CPI gave guarantees that such a thing would not be repeated, regardless of where the games are held. That means that the FEED for Sunday’s game between India and Pakistan in Dubai, the most high profile of the tournament, will include the name of Pakistan in the official on -screen logo.

The game between Australia and England attracted the greatest crowd of the tournament so far, and was the most dramatic, since Australia pursued a 351 record to beat England by five WICKETS with 15 left over.
