The Wildcats had the ball with less than 12 seconds to play. Caleb Love was looking for some heroic and received a foul while making a chance. But instead of receiving the possibility of completing a three -point play, love only received two free throws. He hit both of them and put Arizona 95-94 with a few seconds to play.
Byu moved the ball on the floor quickly. The Cougars star, Richie Saunders, led the lane and tried to float one towards the basket. He fell trying and a late whistle was heard. Trey Towsend from Arizona was called for a foul. Saunders made free throws and Byu won the game.

The players had to separate as they were in the handshake line after the game. In addition, the fans of the classified Wildcats were heard No. 19 “F — The Mormons” when byu left the floor.
Arizona’s chief coach Tommy Lloyd did not agree with the last missing call.
“It’s a bad decision. I mean, whatever, what am I going to say? You hate that a game is determined by that,” Lloyd said, through Sports Illustrated. “(Towsend) played a good defense. The guy is turning, turning, turning, throws his shoulder towards him, throws a shot and falls. They have told me.
Arizona officials also issued an apology for the singing of fans.

“After tonight’s male basketball game, we were struck by an unacceptable song,” said the Atlético director desired Reed-Francois in a statement.
“On behalf of the Athletics Department of the University of Arizona, we apologize to Byu, its athletes, coaches and fans. The song does not reflect who we are and we should not have happened.”
