Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, has promised to take a firm position for the rights of the province, warning that any blunt action against them would have consequences.
Speaking in an event, CM Gandapur demanded that the federal government pay RS2 billion on other pending hydroelectric energy, saying that KP would not compromise its legitimate part of the resources.
The Prime Minister criticized the delays in the Prize of the National Finance Commission (NFC), arguing that repeated ordinances were being used instead of an adequate consultation.
He urged the Federal Government to initiate conversations about a fair formula for income exchange.
Gandapur also highlighted the deficit of funds after the fusion of the old tribal areas administered by the Federal Government (Fata), stating that the population of KP had increased by 5.7 million, but the financial support had remained inappropriate.
“The federal government was supposed to provide RS600 billion for six years, but we only received RS132 billion. Since July, funds have not been assigned, ”he said.
The KP cm blamed constitutional contempt for past national crises, warning that the lessons had not learned from Pakistan’s history.
He said that the lack of trust between the government and people were damaging tax collection and financial stability.
He also pointed out a possible political action after Ramadan, stating: “I am giving you this time out of respect for Ramadan. After that, we will give you a surprise. “
Gandapur’s comments occur in increasing tensions between KP and the federal government, and the province requires greater financial autonomy and transparency in the distribution of resources.

Gandapur said that despite the challenging circumstances, his government had increased income by 55%, urging Punjab to increase their income from 12% to 55% as well.
