- Intel presents the new Xeon 6 with p-core hardware
- The new offers promise greater performance and efficiency in the data center and with AI
- Xeon 6 socs for Network and Edge also revealed
Intel has presented its last hardware range of the data center, since it seems to maintain the rhythm of the tastes of Nvidia and AMD.
The new XEON 6 processors with P-Core provide a great impulse in power and intelligence, since Intel affirms his statement to remain in the upper part of the lists when it comes to the processing of AI and other crucial business tasks.
But the new series is not limited to the data center, with Intel promising improved performance through the network and edge infrastructure along with the server workloads and the data center.

“We are intensely focused on bringing avant -garde leadership products to the market that resolve the biggest challenges of our customers and help boost the growth of their business,” said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, an interim CEO of Intel and CEO of Intel Products.
“The XEON 6 family offers the best CPU of the industry for AI and innovative characteristics for networks, while driving efficiency and reduces the total cost of property.”
Designed for the Data Center, the new Intel XEON 6700P/6500P series presents the company’s P-Cors, which offers what it says is the “perfect balance between performance and energy efficiency.”
Offering up to 86 nuclei, Intel promises an average of 1.4x the improved performance in a series of business workloads compared to the previous generation, and 1.5x Best performance in the inference of AI in the chip compared to the EPYC of 5th AMD gen, while also uses a less cores.
But this power also brings improved efficiency, which allows much greater consolidation in servers of five or even ten years, with Intel saying that the Xeon 6 with P-Core is an ideal option for companies that seek to refresh the aging infrastructure To better deal with new AI tasks.
When describing the new offers such as the “CPU of the world for AI”, the Xeon P-Core chips offer louder band and cache, with up to 504 MB of low latency lLC and support for Mrdimm memory, along with AIc accelerators incorporated and comprehensive suite software through classic ML models and small Genai.
The Xeon 6 for Network and Edge is Intel’s most developed soc, designed for a wide range of use cases, and again promises greater performance and efficiency than ever. The chip includes Intel Vran Boost incorporated, allowing up to 2.4x to the capacity of the RAN networks, which could be vital as the demand for such connections continues to increase.
The Xeon 6 will also be the first in the industry to present a incorporated media accelerator, with the Intel media transcode acceler that offers a performance of up to 14x by watery gain versus previous models.
Intel says that both launches will be ideal for companies that seek to expand and evolve their forces and processes ready for AI, which allows them to optimize workloads, reduce costs and build a network that are flexible and scalable when necessary.
The company says that more than 500 designs are now available or in progress, with the best OEM such as Dell, Samsung, Ericsson, Hpe, Lenovo and many others that have already registered.
