The executive vice president of the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen Jones, suggested on Monday that the team would use the next NFL draft to prioritize the depth in the Quarterback position.
Dak Prescott suffered two devastating injuries in the last five seasons, and left the cowboys in the stake to where the substitute quartbacks have gone. Cooper Rush, Trey Lance and Andy Dalton were not the answers to replace it. When Prescott was healthy, the Cowboys operated as one of the best NFL teams. They had at least 12 victories from 2021 to 2023.

Jones, who is in Indianapolis to combine NFL scouting, told reporters to develop a young field marshal behind Prescott is something that the organization will seek to address.
“You know, I think one of our goals is to get a young field marshal in the draft,” Jones said, through Dallas Morning News. “I don’t know where that will be.
“That is why we gave a (fourth round selection) for Trey. It seems that all field marshal, even the boys we have in the fourth round, go in the first. They always go much higher than you think.”

The Cowboys acquired Lance of the San Francisco 49ers before the 2023 season, but he played in moderation, if he did. Rush signed with the cowboys in 2017 and has been used regularly as the QB2 option for most of his career in Dallas. It was briefly with New York giants in 2020.
The draft will have a lot of field marshal that most of the university football fans will know.

Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward are expected to take within the first six teams of the Draft. Jalen Milore, Kyle McCord, Jaxson Dart, Quinn Eweers and Riley Leonard are some of the players who could fall against the cowboys.
