Abdul Carter: NFL Top Prospect does not work in Combine

Abdul Carter of Penn State, which many experts believe that they will have gone in the first five selections of the NFL 2025 draft, will not be exercising in the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis this week due to a shoulder injury.

Carter will participate in the physical exams and interviews of the league with teams in Indianapolis.

Carter’s shoulder injury is nothing new, since he played it in the defeat of the team Orange Bowl against Notre Dame. However, he was authorized to start training again.

Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN that his client intends to be available for his professional Nittany Lions day.

“We hope that Abdul will recover in time to exercise on his professional day in Penn State, and will work at a very high level,” Rosenhaus told ESPN.

Rosenhaus will also send a letter to the 32 NFL teams of Dr. Dan Cooper, who said Carter has been authorized to resume training, according to ESPN.

Carter is not the only main prospect that does not participate in training in the harvester, since the Ashton Jeanty corridor and Field Marshal Shedersur Sanders, both considered first round talents, will do the same as Carter.

For many experts in prospects, Carter is the best defensive wing in this year’s draft and possibly the best available defensive player.

He recorded 24 cup for a loss, 12 catches, two forced loose balls and four passes defended for the Nittany Lions in a season in which they arrived at the University Soccer playoffs. Carter was crucial in Penn State winning the title of Big Ten, as well as their CFP career until the Irish struggles arrested them.

Simulated drafts of various points of sale have as high as the first and second in general, while others have it as low as number 7.
