Trans athlete controversy: The legend of tennis takes swipe in California Gov on politics

The legend of tennis Martina Navratilova criticized the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, and the State’s policies regarding transgender participation in girls’ sports, since another issue seemed to emerge.

A triple jump record was broken in the athletics of the High School of the Girls of California last weekend, which caused the last debate about transinclusion in girls’ sports. The problem occurred when California stole the executive order of President Donald Trump, keeping biological men out of girls and women’s sports.

Navratilova, who has defended justice in women’s sports, shot Newsom in X.

“It seems fair to me, right? Hey Gov. Newsom- @Cagobernor- This is not right! This is not what one would call progressive. In fact, it is a regressive AF,” he wrote.

The California Interscholastic Federation was among the governing governing bodies in the United States that announced plans to continue allowing Trans athletes to compete in women’s sports despite Trump’s order and the political change of the NCAA, which has also been criticized.

Minnesota and Maine also joined the California position.

Attorney General Pam Bondi warned those states earlier this week that they comply with the Trump order or face legal actions.

“This Department of Justice will present responsible states and state entities that violate the federal law,” Bondi wrote in a letter obtained for the first time by Pak Gazette. “In fact, we have already begun to do it.”

Bondi referred to the move of the Department of Justice to Sue Illinois and New York in early February to challenge federal immigration laws.

“We are also ready to sue the States and the state entities that challenge federal laws of anti -discrimination,” Bondi wrote.

Trump ordered the Department of Justice and the Department of Education to prioritize execution actions against athletic associations that deny girls equal opportunities to participate in sports and athletic events by demanding that they compete against children. Trump threatened to retain federal funds from Maine’s schools for his gender participation policy, which caused a dispute with Governor Janet Mills last week.

In California, Bondi said the State “should be in warning”, in the midst of the investigation of the Title IX of the Department of Education on the Interscolastic Federation of California.

“If the investigation of the Department of Education shows that the Federation is denying girls the same opportunity to participate in sporting and athletic events by demanding that they compete against children, the Department of Justice is ready to take all appropriate measures to enforce federal law,” Bondi wrote.

Bondi said the Department of Justice “only wants state states and entities complying with the law.”

“And the federal law requires giving girls an opportunity to participate in sporting and athletic events ensuring that girls need to compete only with other girls, not with boys,” Bondi wrote.

Bondi told Pak Gazette that “this justice department will defend women and not tolerate state officials who ignore federal law.”

“We will take advantage of all the necessary legal options to guarantee compliance with the state of the federal law and the executive order of President Trump that protects women’s sports,” he said.
