- New rumors suggest that we could see the Galaxy S25 EDGE on April 16
- The phone could apparently go on sale in May
- A new era of super thin phones is over us
On January 22, we saw three Samsung Galaxy S25 phones launched entirely, but we only obtained the shortest look at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, and now we could know when that fourth model will finally make its great debut.
According to the departure of South Korea, Seoul Economic Daily (through @jukanlosreve), we will see the great presentation of the Galaxy S25 EDGE on Wednesday, April 16, before starting sales in May. Mark their newspapers, calendars or digital assistants with AI accordingly.
We also obtain more information from the report: apparently the phone will be available in light blue, black and silver, and will be a thickness of around 6.4 mm, it is not bad compared to the 7.2 mm of the standard galaxy S25.
The phone is ready to obtain an average range price, according to this source. As previously rumored, the same 200MP Primary Chamber sensor of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is also mentioned, which will also be included in the Galaxy S25 EDGE.
Thin selections
It is unlikely to be a coincidence that we are also listening to rumors of an Air iPhone 17 set to debut at the end of this year. Super thin smartphones could mark a new era of Gadgets innovation, if other telephone and tablets manufacturers follow this trend.
The previous leaks have put the thickness of the iPhone 17 air in 6.3 mm from front to back, which means that it could be even more aerodynamic than the Galaxy S25 EDGE. None of this is confirmed until we can really see the phones, of course.
The competition with Apple is specifically mentioned in this new Economic Daily Report of Seoul: Samsung is understandable that he wants to leave his rival, and take a market share before 2025 iPhones have the opportunity to respond.
In recent days we have also seen the presentation of the thinnest folding phone to date, only 4.21 mm thick: see our OPPO N5 review for more details. Unfortunately, that phone will not be on sale in many parts of the world, unlike Samsung and Apple phones.
