Maulana Hamidul Haqqqani, vice president of Darul Uuloom Haqqania and son of the murdered religious leader Samiul Haq, was killed in a suicidal bombardment in the Akora Khattak area of the Newshera district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, on Friday.
Born on May 26, 1968, at Akora Khattak, he received his religious education in Darul Uuloom Haqqania.
From 2002 to 2007, Maulana Hamidul Haqqqani served as a member of the National Assembly under the MMA ticket (Muttahida Majlis-e-amal).
After the murder of his father, Maulana Samiul Haq, in 2018, became the chief of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) and the attached boss of Darul Uuloom Haqqania.
The paternal uncle of Maulana Hamidul Haqqqani, Maulana Anwar-Ul-Haq Haqqani, is the head of Darul Ulom Haqqania.
His grandfather, Maulana Abdul Haqqani, was also a member of the National Assembly and Active in Practical Policy.
His father, Mulana Samiul Haq, was a member of the Senate and played an important role in the formation of new religious alliances.
