Mohsin Naqvi, president of the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB), will assume a new leadership role after the ICC champions trophy.
According to the reports, NAQVI will assume the presidency of the Asian Council of Cricket (ACC) after the Champions Trophy final, said Express News.
Currently, the position is temporarily occupied by Shami Silva, the president of the Cricket Board of Sri Lanka.
However, after the next meeting of the General Council, the Presidency will officially be delivered to NAQVI.
In addition to the leadership change, the general council meeting will also discuss the places for the next Asia Cup, which will take place in India at the end of this year.
Pakistan matches are expected to be scheduled at Dubai or Sri Lanka, waiting for more discussions.
There have also been reports that the Asia 2023 Cup and the ICC champions trophy, which saw the absence of India due to political tensions, can continue under a hybrid model.
However, India will retain the host rights of these events.
The decision of the ACC to make these arrangements aims to avoid greater controversy between Pakistan and India in the period prior to the Champions Trophy.
Last year, Mohsin Naqvi, was elected unanimously and without opposition as president of the Pakistan Cricket Board for a period of three years.
