The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (CTD) has announced a monetary reward for information about the unidentified suicide responsible for the deadly attack on a seminar in the Nowshera district.

Maulana Hamidul Haqqqani, son of the late Mulana Samiul Haq and head of her own faction of Jamiat Ulema-Islam (JUI-S), was among the six victims who died in the suicide bombing in the Darul Ulom Haqqania on Friday.

Another 18 people were injured when the bomber detonated the explosives after the congregation of sentences on Friday.

On Saturday, thousands of mourners gathered for the funeral of Haq in Jamia Haqqania, the seminar where he served as head. The bombing, which was specifically addressed to Haq, also killed another six.

Haq, son of Maulana Samiul Haq, who was killed in 2018, was an outstanding figure in Pakistan’s religious and political landscape. This bombing is part of a series of four attacks in Pakistan the same day, two of which occurred in the mosques, which generated concerns about the moment just before Ramadan.

Haq’s son, Maulana Abdulhaq Sani, presented a first information report (FIR), who was also injured in the attack. The FIR, archived before the CTD Mardan Police Station, includes charges under the anti -terrorism law, along with other sections of the Pakistan Criminal Code.

The authorities have published a photograph of the alleged suicide terrorist and offer a reward of RS500,000 (approximately $ 1,787) to obtain information that leads to the identification of the attacker. They look for details about the name, paternity and place of residence of the bomber.

Haq’s funeral was carried out in the seminar, with the mourners filling the main hall and shedding in the street. Thanks to a strong police presence and the protection provided by the students of the seminar, the sentences were peacefully without any incident.
