Matthew Stafford will remain with an Los Angeles Rams uniform. The two times PRO Bowler and the Rams reached an agreement on a restructured contract earlier this week.
Stafford signed a contract extension with the Rams in 2022, shortly after leading the franchise to the title LVI of the Super Bowl. The star marshal had two remaining seasons in that agreement, but guaranteed that the money was exhausted after the 2025 season.
The adjusted agreement occurs shortly after the Rams gave the Stafford agent the green light of having conversations with other teams while the field marshal explored the market. Stafford’s wife, Kelly, went to social networks on Saturday to react to the news that her husband was staying in Los Angeles.

Earlier this month, Kelly approached speculation around the future of her husband in Los Angeles.
“I love the city of Los Angeles … and I love the life we have built here,” Kelly said during an episode of the podcast “The Morning after.” “That said, I love an adventure. I am in favor. At this time, if the Rams decided that they wanted to exchange it or Matthew decided that I did not want to play for the Rams, I am fine. It moves my family, yes, that could be difficult, first month, then, then, I like that my children I like.
Matthew and Kelly have been married since 2015 and share four daughters.

Before reworking their agreement with the Rams, it is believed that the Raiders of the New York giants and Las Vegas have been involved in conversations about the parameters of a possible agreement, Espn reported.
The RAMS coach Sean McVay, recently suggested that retaining Stafford was the main priority of the team. However, McVay also pointed out that the franchise would have to weigh the implications of the list, an adjusted contract could present this next season and beyond.

“There is no dispute, and let’s not do it with respect to anyone who wants our field marshal,” McVay said during an appearance in the “Fitz & Whit” podcast. “Now, there are layers. You have to be able to say: ‘Hey, how do we constantly build? How do we support it? How do we ensure that he gets what is worth it in relation to those things?’
Stafford was the best choice in the NFL 2009 Draft. He spent the first 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions before being changed to the Rams in 2021. The 2024 season ended with 3,762 aerial yards.
