- Lenovo AI screen comes with a built -in NPU to control the screen
- You can also add AI functionality to desktop and laptops that do not
- There is no word about prices or availability, but hopefully Lenovo will take it out soon
It cannot have failed to realize, but AI is everywhere these days. It is being integrated into hardware, software and services, which makes it a key point of sale for new devices. If you are looking to buy a high -end commercial laptop, it is likely that you present the latest Intel or AMD chip with a built -in NPU and probably include a co -pilot button for assistance to AI as well.
In MWC 2025, Lenovo introduced a series of new laptops, including the updates of their Thinkpad and Thinkbook alignments, and of course, all have been optimized to handle AI workflows. If you are looking for a new laptop and want to use it for AI tasks, you have many options.
But what happens if you do not want or need a new laptop, or cannot afford the last model, but you still want to benefit from AI in the device? The answer could be to buy a new monitor. Yes, that sounds ridiculous, but one of Lenovo’s test concepts presented at MWC 2025 is an AI screen that can transfer its intelligent powers to a connected laptop or desktop computer system.
Add intelligence AI to your PC
Calling the AI screen, the concept of Lenovo comes with a discreet NPU inside the screen, it is not that I can know looking at it. Lenovo says that this is another demonstration of his commitment to “more intelligent technology for all.”
The DNPU not only expands monitor capabilities, automatically turning, raising and tilting the screen to provide users with the best viewing angle depending on their seat position, but also adds intelligent functionality to the PCs that are not AI.
Lenovo says: “With the AI screen with NPU inside, the PC NO AI will be able to use large language models, receive user commands, analyze and recognize the intention, and allow the assistant to execute the application.”
It is only a concept at this time, as is the AI Stick (also presented at the MWC), which provides artificial intelligence to the PC not AI without requiring that you buy a new screen.
There is no indication of when (o) Lenovo plans to take the screen to the market, or how much it could cost. However, it is a great idea, and that could be a Gamechanger welcome, provided that he launches soon enough to capitalize on the AI boom.
