“I’m not too worried about that because I know the right thing,” Damon said. “I know that illegal immigrants who are criminals should not be in our country. I know it should be a fair playing field, that’s why tariffs approach.

“I mentioned my friends years ago, I thought: ‘Will Ukraine ever pay us? I mean we are giving them so much money’ and everyone said: ‘Yes, I don’t know how that works.’ Well, as we see on the world stage at this time, President Trump is trying to make peace with Russia and Ukraine … and there is a lot of war that nobody wants to have.”

The former gardener said he was trying to do what he thought was suitable for his children.

Trump says he will forgive Pete Rose, delivers a scathing statement to MLB in his candidacy of the Hall of Fame.

“So, I can feel pain, but I’m not too worried about that,” he said. “I am a 51 -year -old man with eight children. I’m worried about the future of my children. I want to make sure they live in a safe world.

“I know that I have many friends on the right, many friends on the left and many of them agree with Trump’s policies. They simply don’t like how strong a boss is and our country needed something like that.”

Damon supported Trump’s first presidential election in 2016. In 2020, Trump appointed Damon to serve in the president’s advice on sports, fitness and nutrition.
