If you want to benefit from AI capacities on the device, but it is not currently on the market for one of the many new and elegant laptops with incorporated NPUs, Lenovo is working on a couple of intriguing solutions.
The first one is the AI screen, which is a screen that has a discreet built -in NPU that not only adds intelligent characteristics to the monitor, but can also add AI functionality to laptops or desks that are not AI. The other is the AI Stick, a small brick device that connects to any PC not equipped with NPU.
Both concepts were exhibited in MWC 2025, and although there is still no word about the price or availability for any of the devices, I cannot imagine that Lenovo wants to spend time before launching them.

Although we do not know the dimensions of the SICK AI, according to the rendering that Lenovo has shared with a USB -C cable connected to it, it seems to have approximately 9 cm long, very small.
Lenovo says about the AI Stick that will provide “users with an access of NPUs not equipped with advanced characteristics of AI as local language models (LLM) and improved graphics applications on their device.”
The company continues to explain that the device “contains a NPU of 32 tops that connects to a PC through a USB-C Thunderbolt port to allow the PC to use the functionalities of Lenovo AI now and can also be connected to a wall socket to unleash maximum performance to demand AI tasks.”
Lenovo AI is now the PC manufacturer’s personal assistant designed to increase productivity and automate tasks in the various devices with the company.
While the Stick AI, as the AI screen, is a great idea, is one that is sadly limited by the fact that any PC in which you use it will need a Thunderbolt port. If I hoped to give AI intelligence to that oldest laptop or desktop, it seems that it will not be lucky.
