An Islamabad flight to Dubai was delayed seven hours, causing frustration among around 200 passengers that organized a protest at the new Islamabad airport.
The flight, operated by a private airline, was originally scheduled to leave at 2:15 pm, however, despite the long delay, the flight could not take off even after seven hours.
Passengers, including older individuals, women and children, expressed their anger when protesting at the airport, demanding an explanation for the delay.
The airline staff was remarkably absent, which adds to the frustration of the passengers. As a result, passengers, who had been waiting for hours, were left without assistance or information about the state of the flight.
The protest interrupted operations at the airport, and the passengers urged the airline to address the situation and ensure that such delays do not occur in the future.
Previously, due to heavy rains and fog, six flights have been canceled to the northern regions, which affected flight operations. The dense fog is affecting visibility in Faisalabad, fine, Sialkot and Islamabad airports.
Lahore airport is experiencing thunderstorms with rays, and partial rain is ongoing in Peshawar.
According to flight schedule, four Islamabad flights have been canceled to Gilgit (PK 601, 602, 605 and 606).
In addition, two Islamabad flights to Skardu (PK 451 and 452) have also been canceled. The flight schedule indicates delays in the arrival and exit of 14 other flights in several airports.
