The 18 times Grand Slam champion is a firm Democrat, but has been critical of his own party for not supporting efforts to prevent biological men from competing against women and girls in sports.
When President Donald Trump signed the executive order of “No Men In Women’s Sports” last month, he criticized the Democrats for dropping the ball.
“I hate that the Democrats completely fail women and girls in this very clear issue of women’s sports only for women,” he wrote in an X publication.

He expressed his frustration in January when the House of Representatives approved the protection of women and girls in the sports act. Only two Democrats voted with the Republicans in the bill.
“More Democrats must advance here. I know many who agree but are afraid to speak due to re -election. I say they do the right thing. Cultivate a column,” he wrote in X.
The protection of women and girls in the sports act would require that title IX treat gender as “recognized based solely on reproductive biology and genetics of a person at birth” and would not allow any adjustment to apply to gender identity.
