- Air tablets for 11 and 13 inches iPad get the M3
- This adds support for the new magic keyboard
- Prices without changes from the latest models
Not even 24 hours after Tim Cook joked, “there is something in the air,” Apple has just made its next -generation iPad Air official. In addition to obtaining the M3 chip, it still comes in several fun colors, poppy and now admits the ‘new’ magic keyboard, which initially launched next to the iPad Pro M4.
Now, this is a fairly early update for iPad air, taking into account that the M2 chip was updated and a renewed design on May 7, 2024. Even so, it is clearly popular within the alignment and is now obtaining an even more powerful chip to make all kinds of tasks even more fluid.
It is still available in a size of 11 or 13 inches, allowing you to choose what best suits your needs, and there is no price increase year after year. The 11 -inch model begins at $ 599/£ 599/AU $ 999, while 13 inches is $ 799/£ 799/AU $ 1,349, both begin in 128 GB of storage and come in blue, purple, star light or space gray.
The screens are still liquid retinal screens, which means that there is no dynamic oleed in the iPad Pro. However, they offer a vibrant and sharp experience with an anti -reflective coating standard. They also admit the P3 wide range and the true tone, which will automatically adjust the color temperature to their space. It is quite good to have all this, and taking into account that this is still compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro, you can pass the closure of the screen to see what impact a pen can have before committing to it.
What the M3 means
As for the M3 chip, it is an 8 -core CPU: divided by 4 performance, 4 efficiency nuclei, a 9 -core GPU with accelerated ray layout by support hardware and a 16 -core neural engine. In addition, Apple has even confirmed that the new iPad Air is sent with 8 GB of RAM outside the box. It is enough to say that this should be a great power for daily performance in Ipados 18, for the multitasking experience of the stage administrator and for Apple’s intelligence characteristics. Remember, the iPad air with M2 was not lazy, but this should boost the device even more.
The iPad air still adheres with a tactile identification sensor baked in the ignition button for easy authentication or unlocking, but maintains the 12 megapixel front camera at the horizontal point, which means that this device is better used in landscape mode.
And that is why marking on a completely new magic keyboard for iPad air makes a lot of sense. It is still the same square feet and, in fact, it is compatible with the M2 iPad Air’s, but Apple dropped into a larger trackpad and 14 function keys at the top. Think of the fast keys for brightness, reproduction, microphone and volume.
Another welcome change is that the USB-C port port now supports a faster load, but we still don’t know how data speeds affect. It is still a victory, however! It is also a bit cheaper at $ 269/£ 269/au $ 399 for the 11 -inch iPad air and a little more at $ 319/£ 299/au $ 499 for 13 inches, but it only comes blank.
Faithful to the oldest intelligent keyboards and each magic keyboard that Apple has offered, will not need to worry about loading this accessory or an annoying pairing process, since it has a built -in intelligent connector. Interestingly, the base iPad remains the only model that supports the two -part magical keyboard, so it adheres to floating design here in the ipad air.
Complete the iPad air in the back is still a 12 megapixel camera to take photos or videos. However, with regard to this update, it focuses on giving the iPad Air even more head space and a better performance in all areas of the M3 chip. In the press release, Apple calls its yield profits not in the iPad air with M2 engine but in older models, promising up to twice faster than the ipad M1 air and a jump of three and a half times faster than the A14 bionic model.
We will be practical and testing the new iPad Air with M3 as soon as we can, but for now, if it is sold, it is ready to reserve at this time and will formally launch on March 12. But if I expected one more thing, Apple also gave the entry level iPad a bit of an increase in specifications, but perhaps the most important thing maintained the price in the same way.
