Sam Hubbard, the old defensive wing of the Cincinnati Bengals, announced its NFL withdrawal on Wednesday. He is only 29 years old and will not turn 30 until June.
Hubbard announced his retirement in a statement published in his social media channels.

“What follows? Although it is the end of my career as a player, I see this as a new beginning,” he said. “A new chapter to explore other business opportunities, promote the Mission of the Sam Hubbard Foundation, focus on my health and family and also assume a new challenge.
“I want to send a sincere thanks to my teammates, coaches, coaches, support staff, owned by Bengals and the NFL for everything that everyone has done for me. I could not have done any of this alone. Fans, that Dey Nation, I thank you for more; they inspired me. From the years of struggle and adversity to Super Bowl Lvi, they never stopped.
Hubbard was pure Ohio from beginning to end.

He was born in Cincinnati, played high school football for Archbishop Moeller and attended the state of Ohio. The Bengals selected Hubbard in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft and helped anchor a defense that broke the sequía of the franchise’s Super Bowl.
Hubbard will end his career with 38.5 captures and 398 total tacle in 104 race games.
Last season, Hubbard had two catches and 41 cup. Cincinnati finished 9-8 and the playoffs were lost by little.
