A knee injury will keep the right gardener of St. Louis Cardinals Jordan Walker outside the baseball diamond over the next few days.
The 22 -year -old seemed to suffer the injury after he stepped on a spray head while pursuing a flight ball during a spring training game earlier this week. The cardinals finally defeated Washington’s nationals in Tuesday’s exhibition in Palm Beach, Florida.

Later, a magnetic resonance confirmed that Walker avoided any structural damage in his knee. However, there were some signs of irritation.

The Cardinals Manager, Oliver Marmol, said the team would adopt a cautious approach for Walker’s knee during the next week.
“It’s what it is,” Marmol told reporters on Wednesday. “We will let him calm down for a week and then we will grow again to that baby, and we will still have time to see it in a lot of [spring training] Games “.

Walker is expected to be ready for the opening day next month. Walker made some changes in his swing this low season and is projected to begin in the right garden once the regular season begins.
Walker has 21 race home runs and 71 races promoted in 168 games. The right -hand batter also has an average race batting of .255.

The cardinals ended last season with a record of 83–79, but did not advance to the playoffs.
Marmol supervised an improvement of 12 games of the 2023 season. St. Louis has not qualified for the MLB postseason since the franchise won the title of the central division of NL 2022.
