- A PHILIPS OLED TV that runs to Roku out of the box
- It only comes in a size of 65 inches for $ 1,299
- It is not clear if it will coincide with the quality of the image of LG
The very dear software of Roku for several transmission devices, including sticks and boxes and the well reviewed Roku Ultra (2024), is also available on some televisions, including TCL and Sharp tastes. But it has been mainly in medium -ranking models; Today, today, there is a new Roku Oled television in the city.
It is believed that the best OLED televisions are the pinnacle of image quality, thanks to the fact that the pixels are self -ylminated and offer an ultra -blacked contrast with bright touches of vitality, rich and precise colors, and wide visualization angles.
And we have a newcomer: the Philips Oled Roku TV, precisely 65 inches in size. You must also be happy with that screen size, since it is the only one available. He is already out of $ 1,299 in the United States from Sam’s Club and should reach other retailers.
Even so, however, I could also opt for a LG, Samsung or Sony Oled and paste a Roku transmission device or even a Google TV or Apple TV 4K streamer to customize the experience yourself, so you have a hard competition.
The main feature here is that Roku is incorporated, and will not need to invest in a separate transmission solution. You will find the family backdrop of the city of Roku and access to the best transmission services, including Disney+, Max and Netflix, among innumerable others.
One of the great benefits of the Roku platform is a free content treasure, as well as the services paid, but also frequent additions thanks to air updates that are often sent. If you also use the Smart Home de Roku products, you will be at home with control from your TV. You can even look from an intelligent camera as a full screen view or image image.
The OLED 4K panel presents an update rate of 120 Hz, and is backed by the support for AMD Freesync Premium for a visualization experience without problems for the games.
Dolby Vision IQ is compatible here to adjust the image where the TV has according to the Dolby standards and the television reading collects from an incorporated environmental light sensor. Roku also promises “room presentation sound” of a speaker system 2.1 that admits Dolby Atmos.
Possibly, the best part is that a Roku voice remote control leaves the box, which allows you to press the microphone button and ask for content only with your voice or even open applications such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu or Disney Plus. It is quite good.
We are eager to try the 65 -inch Philips Roku TV and see how it compares with competitive options. The big question is what panel level OLED is using: it is almost certain that it uses one made by the LG screen, and we suspect that it is the same that is used in LG B4, instead of the brightest options used in LG C4 or LG G4. If so, the price is reasonable, but not particularly special: you can get the B4 of 65 inches for the same price. If you have the C4 panel, then it could be a great bargain.
Remember, if you take another OLED TV or really any other TV with an HDMI port, you can get a Roku transmission device separately and connect to get the TV operating system, if you prefer.
Even so, if it is sold in this new Oled Philips with a built -in roku interface, it is now in order at $ 1,299 in Sam’s Club.
A note for anyone who reads in Europe: Philips TVS is done under license, and the brand applies to televisions made by another manufacturer. As a result, this does not seem to be connected at all to OLED TVs of Ambilight Philips such as Philips OLED809, those are excellent televisions, but we cannot assume that this TV will share the same performance.
