The Selection Board promotes 36 bureaucrats to grade 22

The High Power Selection Board (HPSB) approved the promotion of 36 officers of the Administrative Service of Pakistan (PAS), Police Service and Foreign Service to Grade 22.

However, the promotions of the officers of the Federal Income Board (FBR) have been deferred due to a suspension order issued by the Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC).

The Board will meet on Monday to review promotions in other services groups.

The HPSB meeting, chaired by Deputy PM ISHAQ Dar, was held in the Cabinet Division. The president of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, also attended the debatable as a member of the Board, together with Federal Minister Ahad Chema, the secretary of the establishment division, Inamullah Khan, and the secretary of the Kamran Ali Afzal cabinet.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed more than 150 officers for promotion to grade 22. Later, it approved the elevation of 19 PAS officers, eight of the police service and nine of the foreign service.

The Pas Officers, Who Are Promoted To Grade 22, Include Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, Ambreen Race, Ali Tahir, Usman Akhtar Bajwa, Muhammad Humair Karim, Syed Atour Rehman, Musaddiq Ahmad Khan, Rashid Mahmood, Momin Agha, Momin Agha, Nadem Mahbub, Shakeel Ahmad Mangnejo, Dawood Muhammad Bareach, Saadia Sarwat Jawaid, Asad Rehaman Gilani, Ali Sarfraz Hussain, Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Nabeel Ahmad Awan and Ahmad Raza Sarwar.

Those of the Police Service promoted to Grade 22 are Ba Nasir, Ghulam Nabi Memon, Muhammad Farooq Mazhar, Imran Yaqoob Minhas, Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, Shahzad Sultan, Zubair Hashmi and Muhammad Tahir.

External service officers promoted in the 22nd grade include Ahmad Naseem Warraich, Pakistan ambassador to the EU Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Pakistan’s permanent representative before the UN equal Iphtikhar Ahmad, Pakistan, Pakistan Ambassador, to the United States, Saeed Sheikh, Syed Ahsan Raza, Pakistan, Embassador Rizwan to the United States, the United States Embassador. Niaz Tirmizi, Nabeel Munir, Pakistan ambassador to Germany Saqlain Sayedah and the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shafqat Ali Khan.

The official notification for the promoted officers is expected in a day or two. This meeting marked the first HPSB session in almost a year and a half. However, due to the scheduled schedules of Dar and Bilawal, all cases were not checked.

The Board will meet again on Monday to evaluate the promotions of five positions in the Secretariat group, five in the internal income service, two in the audit and accounts service, and one in the information group and the postal group.

The sources indicated that if the IHC elevates the order of stay after the presentation of an affidavit, the promotions of the FBR officers will also be considered.

The IHC sought affidavits of the president of FBR and the secretary of the Prime Minister. The president of FBR must confirm that no summary has been sent on the placement of the petitioner in the administrative group, while the secretary of the Prime Minister must affirm that such a summary has not been received from the president of FBR.

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif modified the rules, allowing HPSB to preside over for the first time.

Meanwhile, Bilawal participated in the meeting of the Board for the first time as a member.
