The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has announced a reduction in electricity prices for consumers throughout Pakistan under the monthly adjustment mechanism, said Express News.
According to Nepra notification, electricity rates for Karachi consumers have been reduced by RS3 per unit, while consumers rates in other parts of the country have been reduced by RS2.12 per unit.
Nepra issued separate notifications for adjustments, stating that consumers will receive relief in their March electricity bills.
The reduction for K-electrical consumers is based on the monthly adjustment of December 2024, while the decrease in other consumers throughout the country is applied under the adjustment of January 2025.
