Saquon Barkley’s record contract with the Philadelphia Eagles has a small print on which Travis Kelce is not overlooking.
During the episode of this week of Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” with his brother Jason, the closed wing of Kansas City Chiefs called the Eagles for the many incentives included in the Barkley contract.
The two -year agreement and $ 41.2 million of Barkley, with a salary of $ 20.6 million per year, made it the best paid corridor in the history of the NFL.

However, only $ 36 million in that agreement are guaranteed, while Barkley can earn additional $ 15 million if it meets certain incentives.
“EWW,” Kelce said in response to the aspect of Barkley agreement. “I don’t like a bit … Do you have to get a 2,000 -yard season every year?”

Incentive clauses in the new Barkley contract are unknown at this time. Its previous contract, which signed with the Eagles the last low season, included incentives to obtain all-private honors of the first team, running for at least 1,000 and then 1,500 yards, and victories in each round of the playoffs.

Barkley ended up charging all those, with 2,005 yards per land in 345 hauling with 13 scores per earth while caughting 33 passes for 278 yards with two more touchdowns. He was then the centerpiece in his playoff career to Super Bowl Lix, where they beat Kelce’s bosses.
And now, Kelce does not approve the incentives in the Barkley agreement, especially those that are based on the success of the team, such as the playoffs.
“So you have to trust someone’s vote to get your incentive?” Travis Kelce asked. “That’s fucking.”
