- Tickets were mainly tickets for Taylor Swift concerts
- The criminals used a back door in the Stubhub systems to redirect tickets

This works with an average gain of $ 700 per ticket per ticket, so it could not surprise him to know that the criminals mainly stole the Eras de Taylor Swift tour, as well as other high profile events such as the NBA games and the US Open.
The two criminals were employees of the Stubhub ticket site, and are accused of using their access to the company’s systems to find a back door in a “safe area of the network” where the tickets that had already been sold were assigned a URL and placed in tail to be sent to the client. The criminal, Tyrone, Rose, then redirected the URLs to his co-conspirator, Shamara Simmons.
The criminals have been accused of theft in the second degree, computer manipulation in the first degree, fourth grade conspiracy and computer manipulation in the fourth grade, and face up to 15 years in prison if it is declared guilty.
High value objectives
Scams aimed at popular events such as sports competitions, shows and concerts, especially the very popular Taylor Swift Eras Tour, are common since criminals seek to take advantage of the urgency of rapid sales tickets. In this case, tickets were bought through a perfectly legitimate place, but customers were still disappointed, which makes this case particularly worrying.
“According to the charges, these defendants tried [expense] of others, ”said District Prosecutor Melinda Katz.
“Supposedly they exploded an escape through a ticket supplier on the high seas to steal tickets to the largest concert tour of the last decade and then resell those seats to obtain an extraordinary gain of more than $ 600,000.”
