A football game in Spain that involved the popular Barcelona FC team was postponed after a team’s medical staff member died, the club announced.
Approximately 15 minutes before a match at Saturday against Osasuna at the Olympic Stadium of the company of Lluís, fans were postponed due to the death of Dr. Carles Miño García.
Barcelona said he was “deeply sad to announce the death of the doctor of the first team, Carles Minarro García, tonight”, in a statement. The club also extended “more sincere condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.”

Barcelona did not immediately provide any detail about the cause of death, which according to local media reports was due to medical reasons.
“I can’t believe it,” wrote Barcelona Ronald Araújo in X. “Rest in peace, doc.”

Mienarro García, 50, joined the medical staff of the first team in Barcelona last season after having previously worked with his football team.
Osasuna said he agreed Barcelona’s application not to play the game. The Spanish Football Federation confirmed that the decision was official.
