An anti -terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi has extended Armaghan’s physical return, the main suspect in the case of Mustafa Amir murder, for seven additional days.
The court ordered the investigation officer to submit a progress report at the next hearing. Prosecutors argued that more time was required to recover a laptop and a mobile phone, which believe they contain crucial evidence.
The defense lawyer of Armaghan opposed the request, claiming that the police had completed his investigation and that a new remission was unnecessary.
However, the court was put on the side of the Prosecutor’s Office and approved the extension.
During the hearing, the judge asked if the seized evidence had been properly sealed, to which the investigation officer confirmed compliance. The court also allowed Armaghan to the parents to brought him with him briefly.
In addition, according to a report, Armaghan had supposedly confessed the crime and explained the reasons behind Mustafa’s murder. The report revealed that Armaghan directed a call center in a Bungalow in the Khayaban-E-Momin of Defense area, where they worked between 30 and 40 boys and girls, along with 30 to 35 security guards parked in the facilities. The Bungalow also illegally housed three León puppies.
The interrogation report also shed light on Armaghan’s participation in the use of businesses and drugs. Before Mustafa’s murder, Armaghan, along with his friend Shiraz, planned to burn Mustafa’s car and had previously intended to damage him. The report revealed that in 2019, Armaghan was involved in a case with respect to drug importation, but assured the bond in that matter.
According to the investigation, Armaghan himself was a drug user. On the eve of the New Year, Armaghan organized a party at the Bungalow, where Shiraz was also present until 3 in the morning. However, Mustafa did not attend the party.
The next day, Armaghan and Mustafa had a personal dispute, which became a violent confrontation. On January 6, Armaghan invited Shiraz to Bungalow to take drugs, and Mustafa arrived around 9 pm. During this meeting, Armaghan assaulted Mustafa with an iron bar.
Armaghan and Shiraz stripped Mustafa from their clothes, tied their hands and feet with a white sheet, and dragged him down the stairs. Mustafa’s car was parked in the Bungalow parking lot, and placed their body in the car trunk, after which they took him to Hub.
The report details more that Armaghan instructed two employees to clean the blood stains of the room. Armaghan also took Mustafa’s clothes, mobile phone and the Internet device. When they could not find fuel in the car, Armaghan took a can of Bungalow fuel. The report explains that Ariaghan ruled out Mustafa’s mobile phone and other belongings on the road.
They arrived at the center around 4:30 am, poured gasoline in the car and set it on fire. Armaghan and Shiraz then walked to a hotel for breakfast. An hotel employee noticed a gun, and the two men fled from the scene. After walking for several hours and hooking walks, they returned to Karachi.
