- AMD RX 9070 GPUs are currently exhausted in stock almost everywhere
- An AMD executive says that more RX 9070 models is “arriving as soon as possible”
- However, some players are still concerned about the perspective of RDNA 4 graphics cards of entry level that do not adhere to the MSRP
An AMD executive has promised that the new stock cards RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, which are currently exhausted in the US.
This news comes from Frank Azor, who is the Marketing Chief of Consumers and AMD games, through a shared statement on X on the launch of these RDNA 4 graphics cards.
Azor assures us that: “More [RX 9070] The supply comes as soon as possible to partners around the world. “
The use of the term ‘ASAP’ suggests that AMD will not be played when it comes to replenishing RX 9070 models, and that is also suggested what we have heard in the rumor factory recently.
That is, AMD has a considerable amount of RDNA 4 of the production lines, which clearly has not been the case of the Nvidia Blackwell launch from the RTX 5000 GPUs debuted at the end of January.
Analysis: Better perspectives of actions in general (but what about the price?)
Actually, the hope expressed through the rumor factory, and it is just a hope, is that Nvidia RTX 5000 shares will also become more robust. Or at least the supply of RTX 5090 will increase, quite dramatically, the theory is, and perhaps also other Blackwell graphics cards.
AMD’s Azor is also generally quite reliable, so we can expect it to be the case that the RDNA 4 and Blackwell GPUs benefit from a peak in the supply in the near future.
However, Azor would not attract on the price of MSRP. If he moved through the comments on the last publication of the Executive in X, he will have seen some players that shout AMD about the MSRP, and the practice reported only to have an initial lot of graphics cards (subsidized) RX 9070 linked to that recommended official price. (And that was in fact what seemed to happen in the launch of RDNA 4).
Previously, Azor has addressed this problem and said that “MSRP prices will continue to be encouraged” beyond the launch, so we should see some GPU (entrance level) RDNA 4 at those reference prices. That said, the words like ‘encouraged’ and a feeling of light evasiveness around the theme of the price in the last publication of Azor leave some space for doubts about exactly what policy is looking here.
As always, time will say, and hopefully, we will not have much time to wait for the next batch of RX 9070 graphics cards to reach the shelves.
