The PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, said Tuesday at TPC Sawgrass on Tuesday that President Donald Trump has been “the facilitator” between the PGA and the Liv Golf to finally reach an agreement.
On June 6 he will mark two years since the announcement of the bomb that the two parties were discussing some kind of agreement to join in some way, but the conversations have stagnated for a long time, that is, until Trump assumed the position.

“These conversations are real. They are substantial and are being taken at the highest levels of both organizations. These conversations have been significantly reinforced by the disposition of President Trump to serve as a facilitator,” Monahan said Tuesday. “President Trump is a lifelong golf fan. He firmly believes in the power and potential of the game, and has been extremely generous in his time and influence to help unite an agreement. He wants to see the game reunified. We want to see the game reunified, and his participation has made the perspective of the reunification very real.”
Monahan added: “We believe that there is room to integrate important aspects of LIV’s golf on the PGA Tour platform”, and could imagine “a future” in which the governor of the Public Investment Fund Yasir Al-Rumayyan can join the Board of the Tour.
“We are doing our best to gather both sides. That said, we will not do it in a way that decreases the strength of our platform or the very real impulse with our fans and our partners,” said Monahan, and added that “the obstacles remain” between the two parts.

Trump last month expressed optimism, the two parties will get some Type of treatment made.
