That number has belonged to the Puka Nacua star receptor during the last two seasons, and has certainly made that number popular between the fan base. Nacua has quickly become Stafford’s favorite objective, but Adams is his last year, and is closing any speculation about who will use the number.
The Rams announced that Nacua will use number 12 in the future, which he used at high school and by by during his university days.

In turn, Adams will continue to use the number 17, what he has done since the Green Bay Packers took him in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Nacua also spoke with the official website of the team about the change of number, saying that the number 12 was felt as an “armor” when it was in the field.
“Every time I looked in the stands, I knew I could find one of my family members there, whether one of my brothers or my mother were in each possible game. I know that when I put that number 12, it is also a piece of armor that represents my family that always protects me.”
The Rams expect Nacua production not to change with their number, since it has been fantastic since the team took it in the fifth round of the 2023 draft.
Nacua restores the rookie who receives records at that time with 1,486 yards in 105 receptions with six touchdowns in 17 games, which obtained his first Pro Bowl of his career.
