  • The United States resumes intelligence exchange, security assistance for Kyiv.
  • Rubio says he will present the offer to Moscow, Ball on the court of Russia.
  • Ukraine, USA Accepts to conclude the Mineral Agreement as soon as possible.

The United States agreed on Tuesday to resume military aid and the exchange of intelligence with Ukraine after the conversations in which kyiv said that he would accept an US proposal. For a high fire of 30 days in his conflict with Russia, countries said in a joint statement.

The United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said that the United States would now take the offer to Russia, and the ball is on the Moscow court.

“Our hope is that the Russians respond ‘yes’ as quickly as possible, so that we can reach the second phase of this, which are real negotiations,” Rubio told journalists, referring to the president of the United States, Donald Trump, after more than eight hours of conversations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Kremlin launched a large -scale invasion of Ukraine three years ago, and Russia, which has been making progress, now has about a fifth of the territory of Ukraine, including Crimea, which it attached in 2014.

Rubio said Washington wanted a complete agreement with Russia and Ukraine “as soon as possible.”

“Every day that passes, this war continues, people die, people are bombarded, people are injured on both sides of this conflict,” he said.

While the United States and Ukraine awaited Russia’s response in the agreement, Moscow launched a nighttime air attack against kyiv, in what could be a response to drone attack last night from Ukraine.

The mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, confirmed on Wednesday the attack, saying that the air defense forces dedicated themselves to repel the strikes.

How I would respond more to Moscow was far from being sure.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is open to discussing a peace agreement, but he and his diplomats have repeatedly declared that they are against a high fire and would seek an agreement that safeguards the “long -term security” of Russia. Putin has ruled out territorial concessions and said that Ukraine must completely withdraw from four Ukrainian regions claimed and partly controlled by Russia.

On Tuesday, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs only said that he did not rule out contacts with American representatives.

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, who was in Saudi Arabia but did not participate in the conversations, said that the high fire was a “positive proposal”, which covers the first line in the conflict, not only fighting for the air and the sea.

Will Russia agree?

The Ukrainian leader said that the high fire would go into force as soon as Russia agreed.

“When the agreements enter into force, during these 30 days of ‘Silence’, we will have time to prepare with our partners at the level of work documents all aspects of reliable peace and long -term security,” Zelensky said.

Rubio said the plan would be delivered to the Russians through multiple channels. Trump National Security Advisor Mike Waltz had to meet his Russian counterpart in the next few days and Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, plans to visit Moscow this week to meet Putin.

On Tuesday, Trump said he was waiting for a stop and thought he would talk to Putin this week. “I hope it is in the next few days,” he told journalists at a White House event to promote his advisor, Tesla Car Company of advisor Elon Musk.

The American-Ukraine agreement was a strong change of an articulated White House meeting on February 28 among the new Republican President of the United States, which for a long time has been a skeptic of Ukraine Aid and Zelensky.

In the Joint Declaration on Tuesday, the two countries said they agreed to conclude as soon as possible a comprehensive agreement to develop the critical mineral resources of Ukraine, which had been in process and was thrown to Limbo by that meeting.

After that meeting, the United States cut the exchange of intelligence and shipments of weapons to Ukraine, underlining Trump’s disposition to press an American ally while turning a more conciliatory approach in Moscow.

Trump said Tuesday that he would invite Zelensky back to the White House.

Ukrainian officials said Tuesday night that both US military assistance and intelligence exchange had resumed.

European partners

A Zelensky main assistant said that options for security guarantees for Ukraine with US officials were discussed. Security guarantees have been one of kyiv’s key objectives, and some European countries have expressed their willingness to explore peace maintenance.

In the joint declaration, Ukraine reiterated that European partners should participate in the peace process. The NATO general secretary, Mark Rutte, will be at the White House on Thursday.

“It seems that Americans and Ukrainians have taken an important step towards peace. And Europe is ready to help reach a fair and lasting peace,” said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in X.

Waltz said that the initial resumption of military assistance for Ukraine would involve American reservation teams approved by former president of the United States, Joe Biden, and stopped by Trump.

As diplomacy develops, positions on the battlefield of Ukraine have been under strong pressure, particularly in the Kursk region of Russia, where Moscow’s forces have launched an impulse to eliminate kyiv troops, which had been trying to hold a land patch as a negotiation chip.

Ukraine during the night launched its greatest drone attack against Moscow and the surrounding region so far, showing that kyiv can also land large blows after a constant flow of missile attacks and Russian drones, one of whom killed 14 people on Saturday.

The attack, in which 337 drones were shot down by Russia, killed at least three employees of a meat warehouse and caused a short closure in the four Moscow airports.
