- A new concept of laptop in Kickstarter can be a great design in the future
- Its design focuses on adjusting desktop GPU and CPU in a laptop computer form, with water cooling components
- It would be the first of its kind, making PC for portable desktop games
PC Gaming Tech is constantly improving, especially at this time with the new GPUs of the Blackwell RTX 5000 series in NVIDIA and AMD RDNA 4 cards, and it is a constant arms race for laptops for games for games to catch up with the desktop game PC. Now, it seems that this gap could be even smaller, thanks to a concept for a laptop design that could do wonders for portable games.
As reported by Videcardz, a concept of laptop in Kickstarter known as UHPILCL (Refrigerated laptop with high -performance integration liquid – t this, I know) presents a built -in liquid cooling while supporting the RTX 5090 and Ryzen 7 9950x3D desk. This design admits the ITX motherboards, with the Kickstarter page that highlights the support for mini -it boards such as the Z890i generation.
All this is possible through a 18 W water -cooled pump, cooling both the CPU and the GPU while giving space for different custom heat dissipators depending on the chosen hardware; The page states that the UHPILCL is capable of heat dissipation up to 720W. If the Kickstarter is successful, it will be launched with two models: the T1000 (it is not a terminator, I promise) and the T1000 Super, with the latter offering greater heat dissipation (up to 735W) with its thickest construction to accommodate the tastes of an RTX 5090.
It is an absurd concept, and quite ugly, if I am honest, but it is an exciting concept that essentially means that players could have a PC for portable desktop portable computer games (evident in the UHPILCL YouTube video below), while we can say the same for the handpames, certainly do not pack as much power as it would do this portable computer. That is even mentioning that the conceptual model presents a 3K 120Hz WLED screen, a 4K camera and Wi-Fi 7 support, so it is certainly not a thread.

I really want this to become the main current …
As ridiculous as it seems, this is a concept that could actually end up working well. While multiple factors come into play, such as longevity, battery life and noise levels (which is claimed to be in a maximum of 55db), it is a design that I think could be achieved if it is supported correctly. UHPILCL creators also claim that almost all components from the GPU to the RAM will be updated by the user, which would be a enormous Advantage on traditional laptops, although the Kickstarter page does not come into details about this, so it could be an impossible dream at this time.
Since I am inflexible in trying my allied Asus Rog with a desktop EGPU, this is another portable alternative that could be sufficient; Keep in mind, I have never been a fan of water cooling (I’m sorry, I just don’t want any liquid near my components), so for me, it would be a terrifying thought that would spend a lot of money on such a product. However, this could save money hypothetically to consumers when it comes to buying the hardware required for a complete configuration, it is not necessary to buy a separate monitor and keyboard here, for example.
Once again, it is only a concept, so it now makes no sense to conclusions: it is worth noting that the crowdfunding phase in Kickstarter has not begun at the time of writing. But if this becomes a project on a larger scale and is successful, it could completely reorganize the game laptop market, although at a ridiculously high cost, I suppose.
