President Donald Trump has had the first 50 days occupied in office, and according to PGA tour The director of players, Adam Scott, who attributed an agreement between the tour and the LIV golf circuit backed by Saudi Arabia is not a high in the list of priorities.
The Scott Commissioner and the PGA Tour, Jay Monahan, met with President Trump twice, the last of which Tiger Woods and Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the public investment fund of the governor of Arabia Saudita attended The creation of Liv.

“It was obvious to me, very quickly, when they were preparing for the Israeli delegation just after our meeting and placing the American Israeli flag and the US flag and preparing that room that our conversation was quite low in importance of what was happening that day,” Scott said with a smile on Tuesday ahead of the players championship.
“And really, the president had much more important things to focus on,” he continued, “and encouraged him to go and do it well for the good of all after our meeting.”
Scott’s comments and visit the White House Come when the PGA Tour and Liv Gold remain at a dead point in the process of trying to gather the world of golf, which suffered a massive shaking in 2022 after the rival circuit attracted some of the largest stars of the tour with lucrative signings.

Donald Trump has been ‘the facilitator’ in the discussions of PGA-LIV, says Jay Monahan
The fractured relationship between the two circuits seemed to be in the repair after the PGA Tour, PIF and the DP World Tour signed a framework agreement in June 2023. But the parties involved failed to reach any agreement before this agreement expired at the end of the year.
Trump’s participation occurs when the PGA Tour seeks to negotiate with PIF for a minority investor position in the new commercial companies of PGA Tour.
The idea is to bring the best players back to the tour, without compromising the integrity of what has already been established, said Monahan this week.

“We are doing everything possible to unite both parties,” he said before the players championship. “That said, we will not do it in a way that decreases the strength of our platform or the very real impulse we have with our fans and our partners. Therefore, although we have eliminated some obstacles, others remain.”
Monahan also thanked Trump again, added that his objectives for an agreement involve the same principles.
“President Trump is a lifelong golf fan. He firmly believes in the power and potential of the game, and has been extremely generous with his time and influence to help unite an agreement,” he said. “He wants to see the game reunified. We want to see the gathered game. His participation has made the perspective of the reunification very real.”
