A video that circulates on social networks claims to show the former president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, stating in an interview that his role in the judgments against former Prime Minister Imran Khan was “limited” and that the establishment influenced judicial cases.

On March 8, an account on YouTube, with more than 485,000 subscribers, published a video allegedly with the former president of Justice.
The video, subtitled, “Qazi Faez Isa Stripking interview in London”, includes a 54 -second clip in which Isa is supposedly asked if she has a “personal enmity” with Khan. The interviewer also implies that it seemed that Isa was not “humorous to do justice” in cases related to the Khan Tehreek-Esaf (PTI) Pakistan.
In the clip, it is supposed to answer: “Look, the Pakistan system is a bit complicated. If you think as the president of the Supreme Court, he had all the powers, then you are wrong. My role in all cases of those who are talking was limited. Some forces that are not visible in the media also have an impact in these cases, which I cannot name here. ”
The video obtained more than 50,000 visits at the time of writing.
A video screenshot was also shared in X (previously Twitter), with the legend: “In Pakistan, justice is only done if the army wants it. Some generals had ordered to keep Khan under pressure, said the former president of the Supreme Court in the interview. “
Made
This statement is false. The former president of the President of Justice, Qazi Faez Isa, did not make such a statement in the interview of which these clips and screenshots have been shared online.
The real interview took place on October 9, 2022, during a session at Oxford Union, a debate society at the University of Oxford. It is important to keep in mind that this interview was recorded before Isa even became president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. It was elevated to the position in September 2023, while the interview was filmed in 2022.
Geographic data verification He reviewed the full -hour interview published in the official YouTube channel of the Oxford Union. The interview does not include any question or discussion related to Imran Khan, nor Qazi Faez Isa makes any statement about its limited role or the establishment that influences judicial cases.
The full interview can be seen below.
In addition, in viral videos, the pronounced words do not align with the lip movements of the former judge, indicating that the footage has been edited. This is a common sign of manipulated videos, as indicated by the Guide of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on the detection of deep defaces.
For more information on how to detect Deepfakes, read the MIT guide here.
Verdict: The video that circulates online misrepresents the 2022 interview with Qazi Faez Isa. The former president of the Supreme Court did not say that his role in cases was limited or that the establishment influenced the decisions. The images have been edited to deceive viewers.
