DK Metcalf is not worried about Steelers’ situation

Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson are the only two quarters under contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

While Justin Fields and Russell Wilson handled the tasks of Mariscal de Campo de los Steelers at different times last season, it is not clear who will be under the center once the regular season begins.

Fields agreed a two -year contract with the Jets earlier this week, while Wilson, according to reports, visited other teams. While there are more questions than answers in the Pittsburgh Field Marshal Hall, the historical franchise reinforced its open receiver body by adding DK Metcalf.

The Steelers sent Draft selections to Pittsburgh in exchange for Metcalf. Subsequently, the stars receiver agreed to an extension of five years and $ 150 million, Espn reported.

During his introductory press conference, Metcalf took a moment to praise the Steelers for providing a warm reception.

“Coach [Mike] Tomlin, Mr. Omar [Khan] and Mr. [Art] Rooney jumped with me on Sunday, and felt home, he felt cozy who wanted to take me to this historical organization, “said Metcalf.” Everything simply snow from there and brought me here in front of you today. “

Metcalf, who ended last season with 992 reception yards, also acknowledged that he does not control the team staff. But he said that the discussions with Tomlin and the other decision makers of the Steelers made him feel safe about the field marshal they will sign.

“They made me feel as if they had the right decision with whom I was going to throw football,” Metcalf said, according to ESPN. “I am not making the decision in the field Marshal. So, I will try to do my best skills to help whoever they have there by throwing football. They make the right decisions to bring to the field marshal here. Then, I will roll with that.”

Metcalf, George Pickens and Calvin Austin III are the wide receptors of the Steelers who go to the 2025 season. Metcalf used Jersey No. 14 during his six -year period in Seattle. Pickens uses the same number, so Metcalf decided to change the number 4.

“I mean, he has been here, he has made a basic element in No. 14,” Metcalf said in reference to Pickens. “I am not trying to take away anyone’s legacy, just trying to help build mine.”

The Steelers finished the regular season 2024 with a record of 10-7 and were eliminated from the postseason in the Commodines Round.
