- AMD RADEON RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT GPU prices have been inflated in some retailers
- This is because the Board members increase prices after their suggested ‘MSRP for a limited time’
- It comes after AMD ‘encouraged’ the Board members to stay with MSRP
While the RADEON RX 9070 series GPU launch of AMD has certainly better better than the NVIDIA RTX 5000 series, that does not mean that it has completely avoided any problem, and in the case of the network equipment, it does not lack Rops or Rops.
As reported by WCCFTECH, the members of the AMD Board have silently increased the GPU prices of the RADEON RX 9070 series, it is reported that up to $ 130 higher than MSRP. This is the type of behavior we would expect from the coatings, and it is similar to what we see with the NVIDIA GPUs, which always seem to have inflated retail prices even when there is a good amount of actions.
It occurs after AMD declared that it would “encourage ‘the AIB partners to stay with MSRP for RDNA 4 GPUs, but that has not happened exactly. The retailers involved that MSRP would be timed, which means that the prices for GPUs after the first sales batch would increase, and that unfortunately it has passed, since Wccftech highlights the Sapphire clicks 9070 xt that sells for $ 729.99, which is in fact $ 130.99 above the retail price of $ 599.
While price changes may not cause directly from the red team, they could still affect the goodwill of the AMD that has built among PC players during this new GPU alignment, it can now end at short duration, especially if current inflated prices remain in the predictable future. Its fierce rival Nvidia can still have major problems with stock problems and other hardware problems, but that does not mean that price problems with RDNA 4 GPUs should be ignored.
This is probably the worst situation of the GPU market I’ve seen
I have lived a good amount of GPU generations where prices were reasonable in all areas, and without problems as significant as those we are seeing at this time. So, I can without a doubt, this is the worst GPU market I’ve seen.
It is already quite difficult to convince the players of the console to move to the PC due to prices, but the prices inflation of Team Green and the Team Red GPU has led this to a ridiculous level. While the price increase in the RADEON RX 9070 series remains absurd, inflation in the RTX 5000 series is the worst I have found.
If you even find an RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 in MSRP (much less one available), then you must be ready to deepen your pockets, and the same goes for the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 TI cards.
You may be thinking of opting for a RTX 4000 series GPU instead, but the same problem is present there. Most GPU Ada Lovelace are exhausted since they have been discontinued, but the remaining in stock are also sold for MSRP previous. Ultimately, players have no choice but to pay, especially because we seem that we see an increasing number of poorly optimized PC games that require high -end GPU for an acceptable level of performance.
If this pattern continues, it will be added to the list of reasons why PC games are considered unlikely for those looking to move from consoles to PC.
