Five killed while the bus plunges in the ravine in Ajk


At least five people died and three others were injured when a roller hall mountain slid down an icy road and immersed himself in a deep ravine in the Haveli district of Azad Kashmir, the authorities said Sunday.

The vehicle was traveling from Kahuta to Rawalpindi when he lost control near Mahmood Gali due to the slippery road conditions caused by snow and fog. According to the police, the Russian mountain slid for several meters before falling to hundreds of feet due to the steep gorge.

The locals and rescue teams rushed to the scene, recovered bodies and helped the injured, who were taken to a close army hospital and a medical treatment center.

A video of the incident has appeared online, showing that the vehicle slides on the snow -covered road before losing control.

Previously, two students lost their lives, and another 11 were injured when a school truck immersed themselves in a ravine in the Abbottabad Tarnawai area on Saturday.

The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the mangal police station. According to rescue officials, the difficult land hindered emergency response efforts.
