PPP MPA Jam Mahtab Convoy shot at Ghotki; Killed guard

The member of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP) of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar was attacked in a shooting attack in Ghotki, which resulted in the death of one of his security guard and left three other injured.

According to Ghotki police, the incident occurred today near Link Road Kanjho, near Batri Wahi, within the jurisdiction of the Kanjho police station.

The armed assailants attacked the MPA Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar vehicle, although the MPA remained unharmed during the attack.

As a result of the shot, Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar, Zafar Dahar, was killed. Three other people, including nearby associates, Asad Shah, driver Akhtar Pathan and Chaniyar Dondho, suffered injuries.

After the attack, the SSP Ghotki Dr. Samiullah Soomro and DSP Obauro Abdul Qadir Soomro, along with a heavy police contingent, quickly arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.

The injured were immediately transported to the Dahrki hospital to receive medical treatment, and a strict search operation has been launched in the surrounding area.

In a statement, Sindh’s prime minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned the attack and ordered Sindh’s inspector General of Sindh to guarantee the immediate arrest of perpetrators.

The spokesman for the principal minister added that Murad Ali Shah has also expressed his condolences for the incident and wanted the rapid recovery of the injured.
