Special courts in Islamabad will be established to address property disputes involving Pakistani abroad, by virtue of the 2024 foreign property law,

According to Express News, these courts aim to accelerate the resolution of real estate disputes for the Pakistani who live abroad. The president of the Superior Court of Islamabad has directed the formation of these special courts.

The president of the Interim Supreme Court has granted the authority to appoint judges to the judges of the session. In this sense, the Secretary of the Superior Court of Islamabad has written a letter to the Secretary of Law and Justice, stating that session judges for East Special Courts and the West abroad will be nominated.

The letter also specifies that the pending cases and the experience of the judicial officers must be considered as the judges for the session courts.

The letter also mentioned that, according to the Law of Property abroad, the Ministry of Law will issue the necessary notifications for the East and West sessions courts.

In addition, a special bank has formed in the Superior Court of Islamabad by virtue of the Foreign Property Law of 2024 to listen to cases related to the property of the Pakistani abroad.

Judge Khadim Hussain Soomro will listen to cases and appeals related to the property of the Pakistani abroad. The notification in this regard has been issued by the deputy secretary, with the approval of the President of the Interim Supreme Court.

Previously, in October, the Pakistan Senate approved a bill to establish special courts to resolve real estate disputes of Pakistani abroad. The bill, presented by Chaudhry Salik Hussain, requires that these courts resolve cases within 90 days.

Previously, the senator of the Minister of Finance and Income, Muhammad Aurengzeb, provided a comprehensive update on the economic progress of the country, highlighting higher remittance entries, growing confidence of investors and better results of institutional reforms.

“The entry of record remittances for February 2025 reached the impressive $ 3.1 billion. We estimate an entry of remittances of all time of $ 36 billion for the end of the fiscal year,” he said at a press conference together with the Minister of Information, Broading, National Heritage and ATTAULLAH TARAR CULTURE.

Expressing gratitude to the Pakistani diaspora, whom he described as “the life line of our country”, Aurengzeb recognized his invaluable contribution to the economy.
