Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the potential of the Ti workforce of Pakistan during a meeting on Monday with a delegation of four members led by Jerome Kapelus, CEO of the multinational IT company based in the United States, Affiniti.
The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s office, focused on the growing TI sector of Pakistan and the government’s efforts to support it, a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s office.
The prime minister stressed that Pakistan’s professionals had the ability to compete worldwide and that the government was providing essential facilities to help IT companies reach their export objective of $ 25 billion.
He welcomed Afiniti’s interest in a greater investment in the country’s IT sector and suggested that Aginiti Pakistan established a world -class call center to serve national and international clients.
The prime minister also shared that he was personally supervising programs aimed at equipping the young people of the country with skills in IT, AI and other advanced technologies. IT Minister of State, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and senior officials of relevant institutions attended the meeting.
Kapelus praised the experience of Ti Pakistani professionals, pointing out their commitment to the development of the sector. He commented that the TI sector of Pakistan was very conducive to investment and businesses.
He also revealed that more than 1,000 qualified Pakistani professionals were currently working on Affiniti Pakistan, underlining the country’s potential to boost growth in the global IT panorama.
